What can be done about the exploitation of tribes in Nigeria by American-backed oil companies?

There are certain issues such as ecological degradation, the poisoning of freshwater lakes, destruction of the fishing industry, no money for public services, poverty, no medical care, education, land theft and issues, etc...What can be done about the exploitation of tribes in Nigeria by American-backed oil companies?
The Nigerian government has both the power and the obligation to look after the welfare of its people. Oil companies are interested in making profits for their stockholders not helping people. If you expect otherwise you are doomed to disappointment.What can be done about the exploitation of tribes in Nigeria by American-backed oil companies?
nothing can be done, the rule is take from those less fortunate and give to those that already have too much.
protest outside US headquarters, arrange a boycott of their gas stations until they start providing public services and US minimal wage to their workers.

Their gas price will go up a bit, but I am sure there are enough conscietous consumers who will pay more for ';ethical gas';

And if they do go bankrupt, the only people who suffer are their shareholders and unionized workers, who are fat pigs anyway.

The oil operation would be taken over by the corrupt Nigerian government, who doesn't give a flying **** about enviroment and its people, but it's OK b/c it's not a US company.
Evict the natives. Nature is not a real-estate agent. Just like their ancestors got there by evicting or exterminating previous native tribes, these people have to yield to the law that resources belong to those with the science to develop them, not to dysfunctional hoggers of the resources, whose only claim to them in based on seniority. Use it or lose it.
not our problem
